Links to Commercial Websites

This page provides a links to commercial websites that may be of interest to folks that link picking their own fruit and vegetables, home canning and / or gardening! I have no affiliation with these websites or businesses, but they may be of interest or useful!

I send out a monthly newsletter, like the one you recieved, with tips on organic gardening: what to do this month, what to plant this time of year, what to do with harvests, neat tricks for healthy plants and general info about organic practices. The bi-line I use on the site is: Gardenerd.com - Garden clothing and accessories for the Gardenerd in your life (even if that's you).  Comfortable shirts, hats, and gardening themed items for people who aren't just gardeners, they're Gardenerds!

As I mentioned earlier, sometime soon, I will have my own website attached to Gardenerd.com with similar, but better, products, blogs, newsletters and links to other great sites.

Home Canning Kits

This is the same type of standard canner that my grandmother used to make everything from applesauce to jams and jellies to tomato and spaghetti sauce. This complete kit includes everything you need and lasts for years: the canner, jar rack, Jar grabber tongs, lid lifting wand, a plastic funnel, labels, bubble freer, and the bible of canning, the Ball Blue Book. It's much cheaper than buying the items separately. You will never need anything else except jars & lids (and the jars are reusable)! There is also a simple kit with just the canner and rack, and a Pressure Canner, if you want to do vegetables (other than tomatoes).
