Farms with a website, even if it is only a few simple pages, always attract more business.  People are turning to the internet first and prefer to do their research and comparisons online.

There are a number of simple and inexpensive services available.  It takes only 4 rather simple steps.

1.     Get your domain name: something like DerthickFarmCornMaze.com. Cost: about $10 per year.

2.    Get a web hosting (shared hosting).  Usually about $5 per month.

3.    Build your webpage.  You can use MicroSoft word and there are even better free website editing tools available. Good non-free ones cost about $100.

4.    Upload your pages to the shared hosting, using a program called FTP.  You can get a free version here:

Home Canning Kits

This is the same type of  standard canner that my grandmother used to make everything from applesauce to jams and jellies to tomato and spaghetti sauce. This complete kit includes everything you need and lasts for years: the canner, jar rack, jar grabber tongs, lid lifting wand, a plastic funnel, labels, bubble freer, and the bible of canning, the Ball Blue Book. It's much cheaper than buying the items separately. You'll never need anything else except jars & lids! Lids, Rings, Jars, mixes, pectin, etc.

Need lids, rings and replacement jars?  Or pectin to make jam, spaghetti sauce or salsa mix or pickle mixes?  Get them all here, and usually at lower prices than your local store!
