It looks like most festivals are returning, aside from those that were killed off by the lockdowns of the past 2 years. That took a heavy toll on their finances. I am checking with them day by day, if you have an update for an, please tell me via the Feedback form.

Vermont 2024 Strawberry Festivals - Where, When and More Details!

There are two general types of strawberry festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Strawberry festival held at and by a farm

They are different in what they offer, so they are grouped separately. (of course not all states and areas have both. And following the festival listings are links to our easy to follow directions about making strawberry jam, freezing strawberries, strawberry pies and much more.

Community Strawberry Festivals

  • Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center Annual Strawberry Festival - Sunday in June, from 10 am to 5 pm (check their website for this year's dates)
    225 Pavilion Road, East Thetford, Vermont 05043, Phone: 802-785-4737. Email: growing@cedarcirclefarm.org. Free children's crafts and games, VINS raptor visit, live music, horse-drawn wagon rides, organic food stand, and much more. Fun for the whole family, rain or shine! Comments from a visitor on June 19, 2009: "Cedar Circle has one of the best strawberry festivals anywhere, complete with amazing organic strawberries, pick-your-own, hay rides, homemade strawberry shortcake, great live music, face painting, and a full farm stand."
  • Dummerston Strawberry Supper - Saturday, late June from 5 to 7pm, (see their website or call 802-258-2655 for this year's dates)
     Intersection of the East-West Road and Middle Rd, Dummerston Center, VT 05346. Phone: (802) 257-0544. Email: jwzcwm@hotmail.com. Please pre-order whole shortcakes by calling the church office at 802-257-0544. This event has been held for more than 40 years, feeding an average of 450 patrons. In addition to strawberry shortcake, there is also potato salad, ham, and cole slaw. For information call .
    In 2022,  Dummerston Congregational Church is held their annual Strawberry Shortcake Fundraiser on Saturday, June 25th from 3:00 until 6 pm Stop by for dessert! Individual desserts were $8 and whole 10 inch shortcakes that serve 8 were $50.
  • East Burke Church UCC Annual Strawberry Festival  - late June (call for other year's dates)
    East Burke, VT. To be held on the Green.. It is a picnic supper (hamburgers, hotdogs, salads, etc.) ending with strawberry shortcake. Supper is served from 5pm to 7 pm on the lawn. Cost for a meal is $8.00,  (the price for children under 12 is $4.00).  A single strawberry shortcake is $4.00. This is a wonderful time for the community to gather, catch up on the winter news and enjoy a delightful meal. Directions: Take Interstate 91 to exit 23 (Lyndonville and route 5), turn right on route 5 and go through the picturesque town of Lyndonville to the intersection of 5 and 114. Turn right on to Route 114. East Burke is the first town you will come to (about 5-6 miles). As you come into town, you will go around a sharp curve. The green is on the right in the middle of the curve. Parking is available along the street. P.S. Strawberries come from a local farm, and are picked the day before!
  • Middle Branch Grange Strawberry Supper - strawberry dinner, Last Saturday in June, starts at 5pm, June 25, 2022,from 5 pm to 7 pm

Middle Branch Grange annual Strawberry Supper. $12 (2022 price) per meal - ham, salads, baked beans, bread, strawberry short cake. Drive through take out only due to COVID. .   • United Church of Northfield Annual Strawberry Festival - Saturday typically in late June from 12noon - 4:30 pm 40+years (In 2024, it was on June 22, 2024)

  • Waterbury Congregational Church Strawberry Festival - Friday, late June, from 5 pm to 7 pm in 2023, the date is is Friday typically in late June, in other years see their website
    8 North Main St, Waterbury, VT 05676. Phone: (802) 244-6606. Waterbury's annual Strawberry Festival (over 33 years!) is being held at the Waterbury Congregational Church on Main Street. Dinner will be served from 5 pm to 7 pm; there will be a buffet supper and of course plenty of strawberry shortcake! There will be dinner and dessert; Take out is available;  Prices: (2023 prices) Adults: $15, age 12 and under: $12, age 5 and under: free; Family of 4: $40, Dessert only: $5.. Last year we sold out so come early and bring your friends! Waterbury Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, is located at 8 North Main Street in downtown Waterbury.
