Note: Beware Google's AI search answers - it MAKES UP NONSENSE. Also beware the copycat websites like the one that stole
our name and uses .farm extension: they copied my work and do NOT even update
the info! I make updates EVERY day. Obviously, I cannot check
every farm every day, but I do check as many as I can every day, and respond to
all requests. They don't. Don't support the scammers!
Remember to always check with the farm's own website or Facebook
page before you go - or call or email them if they don't have a website or
Facebook page. Conditions at the farms and crops can change literally
overnight, so if you want to avoid a wasted trip out there - check with
the farm directly before you go!
And if you know of any farms I missed and want to
add a farm, please let me know!

"Winney Farm was amazing!!!!!!!!!! We went back 3 times this summer and it's
a 45 minute ride. The blueberry bushes are huge and have the best berries
ever. I was hoping to freeze most of them for winter, but my family was
plucking them from the tray as I was prepping them from the freezer. Will be
a family tradition from now on! Thank you Winney Farms "
Comments from a visitor on July 15, 2012: "I
pick at Winney's Farm each year. The current price for blueberries is $2.25
/pound and has remained the same for the last few years. They have lots of
varieties to pick so you get berries the entire blueberry season. There is
no charge to pick. This is not a farm for tourists - no hay rides, animals
to feed and pet, or food to purchase. It is a basic "pick your own" farm.
They do sell prepicked berries for $7.00/quart."

Comments from a visitor on July 14, 2011: "I picked sour cherries at Hick's
Orchard last weekend and loved the farm. There is a wonderful store on site
with great prices on local honey as well as a selection of kitchen items.
The cherries were wonderful and reasonably priced at 1.60/lb. They also have
blueberries and apples in the fall. I live about an hour away and it was
worth the drive. So many of the farms closer to Albany have started charging
just to enter. I used to take my autistic son with me (he doesn't pick or
eat anything) and I now have to pay just to take him with me. I don't go
back to those places."

Comments from a visitor on May 01, 2009: "Just visiting your site for
the first time, looking for local strawberry picking. Just a note to tell
anyone interested, that my family has picked apples and berries at Hick's
Orchards in Washington County for three generations. If you're not finding
satisfaction in Saratoga County, come on up! It's a family owned and
oriented orchard with plenty of fun for the kids and very reasonable prices

berries are amazing and there are always plenty to pick. The black
raspberries (not blackberries) are unbelievable! This is just a
friendly, local family owned farm that is expanding and has great pick your
own!!! Black raspberries (that are huge and absolutely
unbelievable)" [ Click
