The much-loved tradition draws hundreds of families to this hunt for 6,000 treat-filled eggs. This year’s Egg Hunt will be at the far end of Healy Field (the soccer practice field), near the Flaherty Pool on Florence Street in Roslindale. There are a number of activities at the Egg Hunt to help herald the long-awaited spring weather! The hunt kicks off at 11:00 am sharp and starts a morning of fun and celebration. The Egg Hunt draws families from near and far - making it a great day for our local businesses and for our community. It is one of the most heart-warming events and is a great way to shake off the cold winter season. What could be better than getting out in your neighborhood and laughing with kids and friends in a big field filled with brightly colored plastic eggs? Children ages 2 to 6 may attend the hunt and should bring a basket or bag to collect eggs. Older children and families can join the parent/child egg toss and bunny hop races, with special prizes for the winning teams. Kid’s crafts and refreshments fill out this community tradition. Along with the Egg Hunt, families will be entertained by a professional face painter, balloonist, and an adorable baby animal petting zoo brought by Animal Craze
