Easter egg hunt will start at 5pm. Petting zoo, horse rides, bounce house, corn box. We will have bunnies, chicks, and lambs in addition to all the other petting zoo animals! Join us for Eggstravaganza, at Georgia State Railroad Museum on Saturday, March 27th from 10 am to 1pm. Come in your most colorful springtime attire, bring your baskets and come gather springtime treats from friends ready to greet you throughout the site! Georgia State Railroad Museum is a large, open-air historic site with plenty of space for safe social distancing. Staff and volunteers handing out treats will be positioned throughout the outdoor museum. Blacksmith demonstrations by Coastal Heritage Society will occur throughout the day as well as a special egg woodturning demonstration by Lowcountry Turners. The cost to attend Eggstravaganza is $5 per person for all participants, ages eighteen months and older. Pre-registration is required at http://bit.ly/EggstravaganzaGSRM. Event date and time: UPDATE for 2023: When we checked last, there was no update for 2023 yet on their website - so CHECK IT AGAIN YOURSELF, it may or may not be held in 2023, if they DO hold it, based on past years, it MIGHT be held on the Saturday right before Easter; There will be two different egg hunts, one at 9:00 am and one at 10am. The event is FREE but you must register and bring your registration to the event! Both hunts will be at the West Chatham YMCA soccer fields. Chick-fil-A Pooler and the First Presbyterian Church of Pooler are hosting a free community egg hunt. The event is for all children through 5th grade. Be sure to bring your own basket! T There will be two fields for the kids, one for children age 5 and under and the other for children age 6 through the 5th grade. The event does not last long so be sure to get there early. Drinks and refreshments will be served after the hunt.

Guests will be given an Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt map. Follow the simple instructions, using the map for clues, to answer the secret phrase. After completing the hunt repeat the phrase to the Ranger at the museum and receive a prize bag filled with toy filled Easter Eggs and more prizes. Participants can receive an extra prize for taking a selfie at one of the clue locations. This event is for all ages. Enjoy the open spaces, have fun & tour the plantation. Wear shoes comfortable for walking and dress appropriate to the season.
