It looks like most festivals are returning, aside from those that were killed off by the lockdowns of the past 2 years. That took a heavy toll on their finances. I am checking with them day by day, if you have an update for an, please tell me via the Feedback form.

2024 Apple Festivals in Canada - Where, When and More to Find an Apple Festival Near You!

Canada

Apples typically ripen from July (yes, some early varieties start then, especially in southern areas) through early November.  Most apple varieties ripen in Spetember and October and this is when most apple festivals are held.  Unlike strawberries, which grow almost anywhere, apples are grown commercially in half as many states. They do not grow well in very warm climates, like Florida, and along the Gulf coast, etc. Apples require a certain number of hours of cold (below 40 F) in order to produce fruit. So most commercial apple production and apple festivals are north of Interstate 20 (I-20).

There are two general types of apple festivals 1) community festivals, usually organized by a church, school, local Chamber of commerce or a town and 2). Apple festival held at and by a farm. They are different in what they offer, and community festivals tend to be less expensive so they are grouped separately. (of course not all states and areas have both.)

• UBC Apple Festival - weekend in October from 11 am to 4 pm
  Vancouver, BC. Event dates: October from 11 am to 4 pm. Located throughout the grounds of the Botanical Garden. Free admission. One of the most talked about and enjoyed events in Vancouver. A family event for all ages, the UBC Apple Festival celebrates one of British Columbia's favourite fruits. All are welcome to attend, from children learning about the diversity of apples to those who remember tasting heritage apples in their youth. Every year, between 11,500 and 13,500 kilograms (25,000 and 30,000 lbs) of apples are sold to a hungry public. Also available for sale are many varieties of apple trees grafted onto dwarfing root stock, perfect for the home garden or patio. New owners of apple trees often attend one of the espalier and pruning demonstrations. One of the most popular activities at the Apple Festival is apple tasting. For $2.00, curious eventgoers can taste up to 60 varieties of new and heritage apples grown in British Columbia. • Wolfville Annual Apple Harvest Festival -
  Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. Event dates: 6th Annual Apple Harvest Festival October 17-18-19, 2003. Food and drink, children's activities, music, outdoor farm market, apple produce displays and sales, petting zoo, children's bouncy castles, clowns, magicians, balloons, and face painting.

• Meaford Apple Harvest Craft Show -

• St. George Apple Harvest Festival -  every year on the 3rd weekend in September.
  St. George Village, Brant County, Ontario, Canada. Event dates: every year on the 3rd weekend in September. For over 20 years St. George has hosted our Apple Harvest Festival in Southern Ontario. • Van Egmond House-Museum Ciderfest - Sunday in late September; , September 29, 2019 from 10 AM to 4 PM
  Kippen Rd and Front Rd, Egmondville, ON N0K 1G0. Phone: 519-522-0413. Email: dminhinn@gmail.com. Ciderfest is a gathering of vendors and demonstrators who display, and sell their wares. This is an annual event to raise funds for the on-going up-keep and maintenance of the Van Egmond House-Museum. Burgers, hotdogs, fries, apple fritters, apple cider, soft drinks are available.
