    Historic Downtown Pueblo/Union Avenue, Pueblo, Colorado. 2021 Price $5 gate admission. The 27th Annual Chile & Frijoles Festival is being planned in full force! After a year of downsized events, we are happy to announce we are planning at full scale. In some places, the sight of falling leaves is synonymous with fall. In Pueblo, the savory aroma of roasting chilies signals summer's end. This is Pueblo's harvest celebration. The festival is hosted by the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce. Every year, thousands pay homage to Pueblo's best-loved crop: green chilies, particularly Pueblo Chile.  The event features live entertainment, street vendors, cooking competitions, and chilies, chilies, chilies! Held downtown along Union Avenue, the festival draws Pueblo residents as well as people from across the state and around the nation.

  • Datil Pepper Festival - October 2 & 3, 2021, Saturday, 9 am to 4 pm, Sunday, 10 am to 3 pm,
    St. Johns County Agricultural Center, 3125 Agricultural Center Drive, St. Augustine, FL 32092. Admission and Parking: Free. . Visitors will have a chance to learn about local agriculture by attending educational programs, enjoy datil-inspired food during the restaurant competition, and visit vendors with a wide selection of datil pepper products. Past vendor booths have sold datil products such as sauces and jellies, plants, tea, honey and more! The UF/IFAS St. Johns County Extension Agents, Staff and Master Gardener/4-H Volunteers will provide educational programming that will include a plant clinic, Florida Friendly Landscaping,  tours of the SJC Extension Arboretum and much more at the festival. The festival includes our "Datil Pepper Restaurant Cook-Off" contest which provides an opportunity for local restaurants to compete for the favorite datil-inspired dish of the day.  Visitors can sample these dishes by making a small donation and receiving food tickets. Participants are invited to vote on the DPF People's Choice Award while a panel of local judges will also determine the DPF Professional Award for each category. There will also be an amateur and vendor/professional Datil Pepper Hot Sauce Contest, with winners being announced on Sunday. Those in the professional category must be attending as a vendor, and those in the amateur category are expected to follow Cottage Food Law practices. Both hot sauce contests will be judged by a panel of spicy-food enthusiasts.

    Fairview Heights, Illinois. Although we are a dedicated wing festival, you can expect food items ranging from pulled pork to chili dogs to just about anything you can dream of. We are pretty much an ALL OUT food and music festival. We do all of this to have a great time but let's not forget our mission is to raise money for Disabled Veteran causes! Saturday Noon-6pm Fiery Foods Marketplace: Sample and purchase salsas, sauces, dried and fresh spices, hot breads, chili powder, vinegar, and pepper plants, as well as meet and chat with vendors. Big Green Egg (From Steinhardt Heating and Cooling) and other food demos throughout the day. We couldn't let 2021 go by without another Heatwave Hot Sauce Expo so we are very pleased to announce the Summer Market at Budweiser Gardens.It's just like the regular Heatwave except outside under the sun to make things even hotter and we will be subject to some covid safety protocols so we can't get too crazy but it's still gonna be real spicy! At the summer edition you mingle with 35 unique producers of spicy sauces that register on the Scoville heat index from mild to extremely freakin' wild with a range of flavours that go from sweet and savory to maximum heat.  After you have collected your sauce jump over to the large outdoor patio and grab chicken wings or fried pita to dab that hot sauce on. And of course wash it all down with ice cold beverages on the licensed patio.  Stay tuned for further updates on participating vendors and entertainment.And because eating hot sauce isn't just tasty it's also a challenge we will be announcing contests and heat eating challenges that can take place at the Summer edition. (exact roll-out of contests pending on covid guidelines, bare with us for a lil' bit, we are gonna pull off something really fun)
