Conditions at the farms and crops can change literally overnight, so if you want to avoid a wasted trip out there - check with the farm directly before you go! Notes for April 2024: Spring is here! Strawberry season is here.  It started in February in Florida, Texas, southern California and a few other areas of the Deep South; then March along the Gulf coast, April in the Deep South and west coast, May through much of the country, and June in northern areas. Blueberries are next, about a month later. Of course, cool weather crops, like Rhubarb, asparagus and greens should be available almost everywhere. Check your area's copy calendar (see this page) and call your local farms for seasonal updates.

  Comments from a visitor on August 10, 2010: "We went to this farm to pick blueberries , the owner sitting on the bench did not greet us nor paid attention, we went to her and greeted her! and told her that we want to pick blueberries , she told us to wait , few minutes passed by another women came to take us to the farm , she told us there is a min of 5 pounds blueberries per person (20 dollars each !) we told her we do not need 10 pounds we just want to pick a pound or to just for fun , she said then you pay 5 dollars admission each and pick a pound each ! I got very upset , I said that is 20 dollars for 2 pounds of berries and you did not mention it in your internet ad, she walked away .
